What can be customised on a rigid box?
Everything: inside dimensions, structure, board thickness, wrap paper, print, finish, lining and insert. Nothing is taken from stock, so the box is drawn around your product.
How do I measure for a custom rigid box?
Measure the product's length, width and height at its widest points and send those as inside dimensions. We add the clearance for the insert and the wall thickness, so the outside of the box will be larger.
Which construction should I choose: magnetic, two-piece or drawer?
Magnetic book-style boxes suit gift sets and subscription kits. Two-piece lid and base boxes suit apparel, candles and electronics. Drawer boxes suit jewellery, watches and small accessories. Collapsible boxes suit brands that need to save storage and freight.
What is a collapsible (folding) rigid box?
It is a rigid box with hinged walls that ships and stores flat, then locks into shape with magnets or adhesive tabs. It keeps the look of a set-up box at a fraction of the shipping volume.
What board and paper are used?
Greyboard from 1.5 mm to 3 mm for the shell, wrapped in printed art paper, kraft, linen or other textured specialty paper. The inside can be printed or lined with a plain colour.
Which insert is best: foam, card or moulded pulp?
EVA foam grips fragile or heavy items and looks premium. Card inserts are low-cost and recyclable. Moulded pulp is the plastic-free option for brands with sustainability targets.
Can I see a sample before the full order?
Yes. Samples of past work that show our board and papers are free. A sample made to your size and artwork is paid, and it becomes the reference for the production run.
What finishes are available on custom rigid boxes?
Matte, gloss and soft-touch lamination, hot foil stamping in gold, silver or colours, embossing, debossing and spot UV. Several can be combined on one box.
Is there a minimum order for custom rigid boxes?
No minimum order. You can order a short run to test a design and reorder the same specification later.
How long do custom rigid boxes take to make and deliver?
Production takes 7–10 business days after you approve the digital proof, and delivery in the USA takes 3–5 business days with free shipping. Rush production is 5 business days.
